Windstar’s three Star Plus class yachts – Star Breeze, Star Legend, and Pride of the stars – have all undergone major transformations. Star breeze was the first to be relaunched in June, featuring new passenger suites and expanded outdoor and indoor public spaces.

Legend of the stars is the second ship of the three to leave the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy following its extension and renovation project. The three ships increase the maximum capacity from 212 passengers to 312 and offer a true spa and fitness center, an infinity pool and more outdoor decks. The project also added additional dining experiences, including a small Spanish plate restaurant by Anthony Sasso and an outdoor barbecue spot created with grill guru Steven Raichlen.

Along with Windstar’s three classic sailboats, these three all-suite yachts remain small enough to continue to visit the small ports and waterways around the world for which Windstar’s routes are known.

All three yachts are also more environmentally friendly, with efficient engines, generators and advanced wastewater treatment systems.

Five of Windstar’s six yachts have now resumed cruising since the industry hiatus in early 2020. Current onboard health and safety measures include vaccine requirements for passengers and crew, testing , social distancing, masks and high-tech air filtration.

Through its six ships, Windstar sails around Europe, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Asia, Alaska, Canada / New England, South Pacific, Mexico / the California coast and Australia.
