The Royal Mysore Sailing Club (RMSC) is holding its 4th event on the backwaters of KRS – the National Youth Championship – awarded to it by the National Federation-Yaching Association of India (YAI).
The event is a ranking event and will run from July 29 to August 4.
The RMSC will also shortly launch a program called “Vision 2028 Olympics”, which aims to produce Karnataka Olympians in line with the National Sports Policy launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a statement posted here.
Following the ranking event, RMSC is organizing a National Fun Regatta event from August 4-7 which will help bring participants and visitors from across the country together and explore Mysuru as a tourist destination. By elevating Mysuru’s presence as a notable metropolis and vacation spot, the event will also help boost the city’s tourism, the statement said.
The Royal Mysore Sailing Club (RMSC) is also taking the initiative to launch a campaign aimed at the growth of Mysuru as a city. The campaign is titled “City of Sails”, which refers to the importance of sailing as a sport and the significance of the KRS backwaters associated with Mysuru.
Royal Mysore Sailing Club (RMSC) is endorsed by Karnataka State Sailing Association (KSSA) and Mysore District Sailing Association (MDSA).
