The Suburban Yacht Club menu pays homage to the culinary culture of Los Angeles, San Diego and Baja California.

A fun and spicy option to start with is the Flamin ‘Hot Elote, served with harina chicharrones, resulting in a creamy, spicy and crunchy concoction. Add the shrimp on the half-shell, a blue butterfly shrimp and grilled with a juicy and tender bite nicely paired with a chimichurri sauce. For something fresh, SoCal Coastal Ceviche is a simple and satisfying blend of citrus and fish, tomato, onion, avocado and cilantro.

The entrees include a variety of bowls, baskets, and tacos, reminiscent of casual meals enjoyed on a beach promenade, food truck, or street cart. Suburban Yacht Club’s Baja Beer Crispy Fish Taco is served with a lime cream sauce and a fresh coleslaw salad. Quesabirria has a time in the food world; The short-ribbed version of the Suburban Yacht Club is a cheese and meat delight, accompanied by a consomme side.

The Boardwalk Beach Burger pays homage to an unassuming Santa Monica tavern and is a surprisingly amazing burger. A good choice for dessert is the pineapple upside-down cake, sliced to resemble a full-sized pineapple ring and topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel.

To complete the coastal experience, beach-inspired libations are a must. A popular chilled cocktail is Tiki Tai, an elixir of pineapple and rum with hints of citrus and topped with pandan foam. Frozen cocktails, like the mangonada margarita and the Blue O’ahu, not only have a colorful aesthetic, but have a bit of spice with every sip.
