The introductory price for the property is US$525,000 and owners will enjoy a minimum of five weeks vacation per year, including ten yacht days.
These will be spent aboard fully crewed and crewed solar-powered Silent Yachts catamarans, ranging from 60 to 80 feet in length. Plus, they don’t have the noise, environmental impact, high operating costs or costly maintenance of other yachts.
“Club Ki’ama represents the future of sustainable residence and resort development,” said Steve Dering, EcoIsland Development Partner and global pioneer of the condominium club model.
“It is our responsibility to protect the ecologically sensitive environment of Elizabeth Island while creating comfortable spaces where our owners and their guests can enjoy the best of the Bahamas.
Barrett says, “We are thrilled to announce our first community for Silent Resorts. Sustainability has long been a passion of mine and Club Ki’ama will bring it to life through cutting-edge solar technology and sustainable building practices unparalleled in the resort and residential markets.
The Ki’ama Bahamas community will serve as a global example for sustainable development. Much of the station will be built on pillars to avoid excavation or landfill using pre-engineered “carbon negative” building structures with near zero construction waste.
All residences, yachts, buildings and equipment will be fully and independently powered by solar energy. The resort also uses advanced and highly efficient water purification and wastewater treatment systems.
Club Ki’ama will span 36 acres on Elizabeth Island, a private island in Port Elizabeth, with a two-acre protected marina and six private beaches. Arriving at Exuma International Airport, owners take an electric water taxi from George Town Dock to the island, a ten-minute ride.
Silent Resorts creates communities that are 100% powered by the sun and free from invasive infrastructure or diesel generators.
Its exclusive relationship with Silent-Yachts and its integration of the world’s first all-solar yachts with pre-engineered, carbon-negative, low-impact land infrastructure allows owners and guests to discover the most pristine and unknown destinations in the planet without harming the environment.
