Cannes is not only famous for its film festival, but the city is also known for its yacht show.

After last year’s cancellation due to the Covid pandemic, it was one of the most anticipated yachting events in Europe. The Cannes Yachting Festival is an opportunity for shipyards to present their new models so that aficionados can order their favorite pleasure boat to be delivered just in time for the next Mediterranean season.

Divided between the two marinas of Cannes, the Old Port and the Port Canto, the event presents in the first a beautiful collection of motor boats from 10 to 40 meters for the most part in the water, at the Palais des Festivals it is the luxury gallery that makes its show. In the second port, sailboats share space with brokerage yachts and toys.

According to the exhibitors we met, this year the show was a little smaller, there were fewer visitors (probably because of the compulsory health pass) but they were all very satisfied with the quality of the visitors. The world of luxury yachting is growing and the short selection below will show that the target audience is very large.

Yachts

Yacht Expertise presents K 584

Designed and built by Yacht Expertise, this surprising 36 meter is not the kind of superyacht one would expect, it does not offer flashy or unnecessary options like a swimming pool or jacuzzi. The owner wanted an explorer’s yacht that could take her anywhere with ease and comfort. Designed to sail to some of the world’s most remote destinations, the ship has been customized to meet her desires, including an exceptional dive room and her own cabin near the helm of the yacht as she sails it regularly. K 584 is the first in a new range of K yachts, it is one of a kind but opens up yacht building to new horizons.
