The classic 42.1 meter Feadship yacht Istros was put up for sale by Cecil Wright & Partners following a massive restoration.

First delivered in 1954 by the Dutch shipyard De Vries Lentsch, Istros the restoration originally started in 2013 with a new interior by Van Geest Design but was blocked due to financial difficulties. After the yacht was sold in 2018, the restoration resumed at Feadship and was finally completed in 2020.

The colossal task included the complete overhaul of the interior in a “sunny, family-friendly Scandinavian style”, as well as the installation of a brand new engine room. The quality of the refit was recognized at the 2021 World Superyacht Awards, where the yacht won a Neptune in the Rebuilt Yachts category.
