The UKSA has announced a partnership with multi-award-winning tour operator Neilson Active Holidays, which secures watersports instructor training students in professional roles with Neilson as well as covering course fees.

The tour operator with over 40 years experience in the travel industry is offering 12 guaranteed jobs for those who complete UKSA’s Watersports Instructor Training as well as 50% of course fees reimbursed for course students who gain employment with Neilson after completion of two seasons summer courses.

With demand for instructors at an all-time high in holiday destinations around the world, the 12-week course provides students with all the skills needed to start their career in the watersports industry and, subject to interview , gives them the opportunity to start their career with a bang working for Neilson in one of his beautiful resorts based in Greece, Italy or Croatia.

Instructors will be qualified as a multidisciplinary instructor to teach windsurfing, dinghy and windsurfing allowing them to teach beginners, train future instructors and share their passion for the water. They will also get their multihull approval and train on paddle boards and paddle sports craft. On a typical day, once qualified, instructors prepare the kit, give instruction ashore, teach on the water, debrief at the end of the session and store the kit.

Knowing at the end of your training that Neilson offers guaranteed jobs in great places, as well as cash back on course fees after your second season is UKSA is proud to work with partners like Neilson to ensure its offer is the best it can be and students are ready to enter the workplace when they leave us.These spaces are sure to be popular , so I invite anyone interested to contact us as soon as possible.

Iain Stevenson-Wood, Human Resources Director at Neilson, said:

“We must enable everyone to realize their potential in this new era of struggling labor markets. As a company, we must seek to attract employees in new and innovative ways to the water sports industry.

“With over 40 years of experience in the active holiday market, I am pleased that we can offer future employees the same opportunities I had when I was younger. Having been in the business for over 20 years and starting from the bottom of the ladder, these training opportunities have allowed me to grow with many of our long-time team members.

“We look forward to bringing the next generation of water sports instructors to the industry.”

Watersports Instructor Training graduates also have the opportunity to work for UKSA, taking advantage of a discounted food and accommodation package, reducing the instructor’s daily living costs and enabling them to save while working with UKSA.

UKSA can also offer students financial support to start the watersports instructor training course.
