The Monaco Yacht Show 2022 targets the new generation of yachting

The Monaco Yacht Show is the most prestigious superyacht exhibition in the world. An emblematic event, it combines exclusivity, excellence and innovation. This year, it offers a rigorous selection of exhibitors; with 500 top industry companies and 105 outstanding super and mega-yachts.

With an average of 33,000 participants, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) offers a once-in-a-year opportunity for yachting business leaders to meet and discover the latest high-tech products and luxury services. Taking place in Port Hercule from September 28 to October 1, it will feature some of the biggest superyachts, such as the 115m superyacht Ahpo built by Lürssen and the 65.4m superyacht from Benetti, triumph.

As part of MYS’ three-year development programme, this year’s edition will include a new exhibition space dedicated to sustainable yachting solutions. A new Sustainability Hub will be added to the 2022 edition of the show, marking the second edition of the program “to promote super-yachting to a new generation of customers”.

The Hub will feature companies specializing in innovative and proven technologies designed to reduce the environmental effects of luxury yachts, from the construction process to ownership and charter. Exhibitors have been selected by the Water Revolution Foundation in conjunction with the event organizers to ensure product quality. The Sustainability Hub area will cover 200 m²/2,153 ft² within the Darse Sud, serving as an incubator for companies that offer innovative solutions.

Robert Van Tol, Executive Director of the Water Revolution Foundation: “The creation of the Sustainability Hub is a crucial achievement. The Monaco Yacht Show is once again consolidating its leading position in the field, while highlighting the expertise of the Water Revolution Foundation in terms of sustainability. Thus, the new exhibition space of the show is designed to present forms of technology that will bring concrete improvements to the world of yachting. We strive to find, verify, promote and reward sustainable solutions, while encouraging their use and making the necessary changes. »

Apart from that, they also launched their new adventure zone. Bringing together the former Car Deck and Tender & Toys luxury exhibitions, it will be hosted on 2 sites; Quai Antoine and Quai Jarlan. The area will include a wide range of sports and day trip offerings, as well as luxury and off-road vehicles, water toys, helicopters and nautical gadgets, all designed for boating experiences of point. The extensive Adventure Area exhibition for all adventure and leisure activities reflects the show’s ambition to provide visitors with the best yachting experience.

“Today’s charter customers want to drive all-terrain vehicles to the North Pole, take submarine tours, dinghy rides off remote islands, enjoy tailored tours of historic sites and cultural events in coastal destinations, discover animal species while respecting their ecosystems, and even participate in scientific field trips, the representative of the Monaco Yacht Show said in a press release.

The MYS also announces the 6th edition of the Monaco Yacht Summit. Organized on Tuesday September 27, 2022 at the Yacht Club de Monaco, the event will address practical questions on the topics of yacht charter, purchase and construction in front of a pre-qualified audience of experienced yacht owners and charterers or beginners.
