The movement and marine comfort of the J / 45 are integrated. The combination of advanced composite construction, an easy-to-drive hull shape and a low center of gravity results in the stability and smooth sailing motion typically found on larger yachts. Comfort at sea is also a function of the effort required by the crew. With the J / 45, the same mainsail and jib combination that is used at 6 knots can also be depowered for use at 20 knots, without the need to change sail.
