The Italian shipyard Rossinavi announced a 52-meter concept at the Monaco Yacht Show named Portofino.

The design sees the Enrico Gobbi design team partnering with Rossinavi again after a number of recent collaborations, including the all-new 48-meter Polaris and the 50 meters EIV.

Portofino has three decks and is characterized by wide decks and long windows. The concept is described by the yard as “traditional and modern at the same time” and was designed for “extended voyages and transoceanic routes”.

The concept includes a 130 m² solarium with sun loungers, a bar, a shaded dining room and deckchairs to port and starboard and deckchairs aft. “It’s the longest flydeck on the market,” said designer Enrico Gobbi.

The Portofino 52 will feature “the longest flydeck on the market,” according to designer Enrico Gobbi.

The design also allows for a 60m² beach club and wellness center with sauna and steam room, with the engine room slightly forward and tender operations limited to the bow. The beach club area is lit by a glass bottom pool-shaped skylight on the deck above.

Outdoor entertainment takes place on the upper deck and is divided into two key areas. Forward of the wheelhouse is a U-shaped saloon with a retractable cinema screen and central fireplace, while the aft deck houses a large circular dining table.

Team For Design was also appointed to create the interiors of the Portofino project. Floor to ceiling windows are used across the main and upper decks to provide ocean views while bathing spaces, such as the main living room, in natural light.

Accommodation is for a total of 10 guests split between a full width owner’s suite, which is positioned forward on the main deck, with four guest cabins below. Other onboard amenities include a wine and cigar cellar.

Portofino is powered by two Caterpillar C32 engines that deliver a top speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots. The project will also be equipped with two stabilizers and zero noise technology that “significantly reduces noise and vibration,” said the yard.

A pop-up cinema screen and fire pit are located in front of the wheelhouse
