Since 1977, Alex Chueh, founder of Ocean Alexander, has burst into an industry with ships that have been loved and appreciated since the very first ever launched. Like most businesses, growth was on this boatbuilder’s mind and in 2005 he launched his first yacht over 100 feet, securing his place among boat shows around the world.

The upcoming vessel is 116.8 feet (35.6 meters) long, but compared to other yachts of this size, thanks to ingenious use of space, the vessel can accommodate a large number of guests in absolute luxury and relaxation.

Outdoors, the 35R benefits from heavy use of glass. This is done in order to provide natural lighting to as much interior space as possible. From the lowest deck to the main deck and the sky deck, panel after panel of glass also allows guests to enjoy a view of the outside world.

As for the activities to do on the deck, classic lazing around and relaxing in the sun are the main activities to be enjoyed here. At the bow of the ship, a large forward saloon allows guests to be seen cruising the harbor in style. Amidships, the sky deck presents itself with a sundeck aft, while a bar and two side lounges create a place to relax in the shade. There is also a hot tub on this deck.

Aft on the deck deck, the alfresco dining area is aft and the forward salon mentioned above. But the real attraction is offered on the main deck with a huge aft-facing lounge bed, while side stairs lead to the beach deck below.

An attractive feature of the beach terrace is the garage door. While normally closed and protecting a hidden living room, when lowered to reveal the space inside, the door also serves to extend the beach deck even further, creating a platform on which to place toys. and / or relax. Why not dive into it?

Inside the ship, spaces are adorned with leather and fabric seating, parquet or carpet, in some cases marble, and semi-precious metals help balance the selected materials. The white, cream and gray tones give a rather neutral space that is not too hard on the eyes.

The furniture features rounded edges, indicating that a boatbuilder and design team know what they’re doing, LED lighting helps brighten up the space after the sun goes down, and those massive windows I have mentioned seem to be available in almost all cabins. The marble, porcelain and glass bathrooms give the impression of stepping into a spa center. Funny enough, there is a real spa center on the machine, also equipped with gymnastic equipment.

For bedding, the owner’s suite is located forward on the main deck with great side views and an en-suite bathroom at the bow of the ship. The rest of this deck is used only for social spaces, but the rest of the guests will be accommodated on the lower deck via four other suites. The rest of the lower deck is reserved for the crew quarters, a few quaint lounges, and the spa, gym and garage on the beach that I mentioned.

So far, pricing has yet to be announced for the 35R, but similar yachts from this yachting team start at around $ 14 million (€ 12.2 million at current exchange rates). Since this beauty is supposed to present the freshest of the fresh and the best of the best, you can expect to pay a little more than that.

Maybe Ocean Alexander shocks the world and sells this ship for just $ 10 million (€ 8.6 million at current exchange rates). If so, by the time you’re done building your dream yacht, you won’t be looking at a $ 10 million ship anymore, but hey, it’s not every day you buy a yacht, as much to implement everything.
