RED BLUFF, Calif., – An elderly man who went missing from the Roseville area on Wednesday October 13 was found – lost and confused, but safe – at Red Bluff yesterday afternoon, officials were delighted to announce that the victim was reunited with his grateful family.
The man, listed only as James, had managed to travel about 150 miles north of his Roseville residence before being found wandering through a Red Bluff parking lot by a local sergeant who was reported by a concerned citizen who said they saw an elderly person. man who seemed to need help.

“James was reported as a missing person from Roseville on October 13, 2021,” RBPD said in a social media statement after the victim was found. “We didn’t know where he was and his family were very concerned for his safety. “
Yesterday, an RBPD sergeant was visiting a local Starbucks when he was told there was an older man in the company’s parking lot “who looked lost and confused,” they explained.

Speaking with the man, the sergeant realized that it was the Roseville resident who had gone missing the day before.
“James’ family have been contacted and are relieved that James has been found safe and sound at Red Bluff,” the RBPD continued.
While waiting for his family to drive him from Roseville, James was taken to Red Bluff Police Station, where he was greeted by the other officers.
Over the next several hours, James sat down with the sergeant and other officers undergoing Taser training.
“James was happy to participate in the training with the staff of the department,” described the RBPD; adding that at the end of the training, James received a training certificate, signed and certified by RBPD Chief Kyle Sanders, as an Honorary Taser Operator
James then reunited with his family “who were delighted to find him safe and well trained!” Said the RBPD; adding: “Great job James and we are glad you made it home safe !!”

Trevor has been married for over 30 years and has been the foster parent of over 60 children over the age of 13. He is now an adoptive parent and his “flowing family†includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
