MANY BASS CLUB OCTOBER 2022 TOURNAMENT RESULTS

By Ramona Moore

The Many Bass Club October 2022 Tournament was held October 8-9 in Toledo Bend. The weather was moderate with lows dipping in the fifties and highs in the eighties. Skies were clear after a mild cold front passed through on Friday with high pressure and light winds. The water temperature had cooled to the seventies on Saturday and Sunday, but warmed up to the mid seventies in the afternoon. Fishing conditions were tough with only four limits brought to the scales by the twelve competing anglers, and only two double-digit stringers weighed. The fish were mostly caught in 10 to 20 feet of water.

Michael Woods was the big winner of the tournament. He had the biggest stringer which weighed in at 11.03 pounds and had the biggest fish of the tournament which weighed in at 3.97 pounds. Michael caught his fish on Sunday, offshore, dragging soft plastics in the mid-lake area. Gary West placed second with a limit of five fish weighing 10.02 pounds. Gary also fished on Sunday and caught his fish at depths of ten to twelve feet on crankbaits in the mid-lake area. Michael Sonnier placed third with a five-fish rig that weighed in at 9.75 pounds. Michael caught his fish on Sunday by knocking over boat docks.

Gary West continues to lead the Club’s Top Six contest with 108.51 points. Glen Swihart retains second place with 92.37 points. Michael Woods is in third place with 81.7 points, followed by James Edwards with 73.44 points, George Herr with 72.7 points and Johnny Flowers with 70.98 points.

Congratulations to the October winners.
