At the recent Monaco Yacht Show, we took a look at several of the new yachts on display, including the new Swan 120

The new Swan 98 and Swan 120 are the newest of the new generation of performance cruisers designed by Swan of Germany. These powerful and wide designs sport double rudders and great form stability in a style that has already proven popular over the past three years with the 65 and 78.
These latest superyacht versions are of carbon epoxy construction. Designed for high-speed ocean navigation, they come with the option of a telescoping keel, which purchases enhanced upwind performance coupled with draft capacity.
By carrying an almost maximum beam to the rear of the Swan 120, designer Frers created the multiple benefits of form stability, huge volumes underneath, and space to create this shed-slash patio area. quarter-deck.
The transom folds up hydraulically revealing a garage for a 4.5m tender and various toys.
The relaxation area on the deck was clearly a key consideration in the design. The large guest cockpit is adorned with multiple sofas and can be protected by a sun awning and a convertible top which come out of a coachroof cassette at the touch of a button.
A 1.8 m wide curved glass companionway then gives you access to the deck saloon where there are large daybeds adjoining the large hull portholes.
