Lazzarini Design has devised a breathtaking concept that delves into the world of lightweight engineering and radical design. Called as ‘Embryo’, this superyacht has an elegant design with a tender concept of 24 meters. However, it is the transparent carbon fiber shell that catches our attention. Carbon fiber is used in extreme hypercars and racing boats, while its biggest advantage is its stiffness and, of course, it is lighter than other materials.

Made from dry carbon fiber, the Embryo is 30% lighter than other boats of similar size, which is why this material has been used liberally. Lightness also adds to the performance – which is not lacking in this concept with a diesel and hydrogen propulsion system consisting of two 2000hp MAN V12 engines and one 1260hp electric motor. Expect a top speed of 65 knots which, via its open-top cockpit environment, will make an intoxicating experience for the senses! The studio also says the yacht can be configured to run on electricity or be fully hydrogen powered, so environmental friendliness is also on the Embryo’s agenda.

Despite its sporting pretensions, the Embryo has the requisite luxury one expects from a superyacht via four cabins, a deckchair and a spacious L-shaped saloon. In total, it can accommodate eight people in its cabins. A VIP and a master suite also make it clear that the Embryo is a perfect superyacht for long journeys. More than anything, the stunning lines draped in it make it one of the most beautiful concept yachts we’ve seen. The transparent hull is undoubtedly an integral part of its attractive design and makes it a kind of hyper exotic boat. How Lazzarini combined traditional materials with the space age design plus the execution is undoubtedly an enticing combination. Expect a price tag of € 6,000,000, which we think is somehow justified given the otherworldly appearance of the Embryo. It is also the second superyacht in a row after the 69-meter “Shape”.
