RNYC Commodore Leo Kroonne said they were extremely impressed and proud of their team for participating in and winning such a tough competition. RNYC skipper Davey James will have his name engraved on the trophy for the very first time as the winning skipper.
“The event was very close. We were winning the event for nine races and we came to the final day with a one point lead over the other two teams (WYAC and RNYC), â€said Hale. “All we had to do was win the last race and we would have won the Lipton Cup title.
