Yacht Sunseeker 100

Sunseeker’s 100 Yacht is the largest new motor yacht to emerge from the UK this year and the star of builder Poole’s display at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. The first hull was only delivered in the summer, yet the yard revealed at least 15 sales before its world premiere. Powered by two MTU 12V 2000 M96X or 16V 2000 M96L engines, the 100 Yacht can reach up to 29 knots.

Notable features include a flybridge with full access from bow to stern, while the forward area has two separate seats and cinema screen capability. The full-beam master suite forward on the main deck is another standout area, with floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides and an iconic glass atrium door forward that leads to a private foredeck.

Sunseeker is also introducing the new Predator 65, which had its world premiere at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show. The 65-footer offers Volvo Penta IPS 1200 or 1350 engines, reaching 35 knots with the latter, and extends a Predator series that ranges from 55 EVO to 74XPS.

Princess is hosting the world premiere of the Open version of its new V50, a model which premiered at the Palm Beach Boat Show. The V50 has a new deep-V hull and extended canopy over the cockpit, along with newly refined interior fittings, as seen on the V55. The standard “deck saloon” and Open versions of the V50 have completely different saloon and cockpit layouts.

Fairline hosts the world premieres of the Phantom 65 and the newly upgraded flagship Squadron 68 in Cannes. The Phantom 65 is the first sportbridge yacht from builder Oundle and is based on the Targa 65, with clean lines, large hull windows and a glazed sunroof forward of the sportbridge. Twin Cat C18-1150 engines and optional C32-1622 V12s deliver 31 and 35 knots respectively.

The upgraded Squadron 68 features a subtly revised exterior, fresh interior layout and design, and a sleek new hardtop with sliding fabric sunroof and integrated rear power sunshade. The main deck has a new galley design that increases working space and fridge/freezer capacity, and incorporates a convivial bar that extends into the cockpit. Options include a tri-fold patio door and a bottom bar side door.

Gulf Craft is hosting the European debut of the Majesty 120, which had its world premiere at the Dubai International Boat Show in March, while the UAE builder is also showing its popular Majesty 100 for the second consecutive year.

The Polish Galeon organizes the world premieres of the 375 GTO and 440 Fly. The 375 GTO builds on the 325 GTO which launched in early 2021 and spearheaded the new Grand Touring Outboard series, while the 440 Fly is the latest model to use the yard’s signature fenders made popular on his 500 Fly.

Among the Groupe Beneteau brands, the M48 de Prestige is one of the most anticipated world premieres at Cannes, as one of the first powercats from a leading monohull builder, albeit one with Lagoon in as a sister company. Designed by longtime prestige designer Garroni Design of Italy with French naval architect Philippe Briand, the 14.8m yacht is tall and slim, with just a 6m beam, while options include a suite full-beam main beam in front.

Prestige is also showcasing the X60, which debuted at this year’s Miami International Boat Show. Like the X70 flagship, the X60 also features a swim platform with fold-out sofa, a transparent railing and a long covered cockpit, although unlike its larger wide-body sibling it has a deck lateral, to port. Other novelties include a sliding door on the port side of the saloon.

Jeanneau’s DB/43 is an exciting newcomer as the brand enters the high-end dayboat market with its flagship powerboat, bringing together Garroni and American naval architect Michael Peters, who collaborated on current Leader models. and NC. Folding sides widen the beam to 18ft 6in, the flexible aft settee can fold down to become a sundeck, while the two cabins below include an aft master with a double bed and a settee or single bed to starboard.

Jeanneau premieres also include the Cap Camarat 10.5 CC and the Merry Fisher 1295 Fly, which is 7 feet longer than the series’ former flagship, the Merry Fisher 1095. The 1295 Fly is powered by three Yamaha outboard engines 300hp, while eye-catching features include a starboard down deck and three built-in sun pads on the foredeck.

Beneteau’s highlights among its line-up of 16 boats at Cannes include the new Swift Trawler 48, which made its debut in Miami. The model from Andreani Design succeeds the 47 as the flagship of marine passage manufacturers’ Swift Trawler range. A MICAD-designed hull helps deliver a range of over 600nm at nine knots with twin Cummins engines, with the 425hp options giving a top speed of 25 knots.

The latest Leopard model on display at Cannes is the 46 Powercat, which debuted in Miami and is part of the brand’s full fleet of motor and sail models at Cannes. Following the 53 launched in 2020, the 46 is the second in a new range of three powercat models and features include the hallmark large flybridge and a door to the foredeck.
