AJ Odudu puts on an emotional display just days before the finale of Strictly Come Dancing as she marks her stint on the TV show “A Dream Come True”.
The 33-year-old made her way to the final after an impressive streak on the BBC One dance competition with her first professional dancer Kai Widdrington.
But it hasn’t always been easy for the dance duo after the couple faced a tough spot this week following the TV presenter’s horror injury.
The couple were forced to cancel many of their all-important workouts after the star was “unable to walk” when she tore a ligament in her foot that put on crutches.
Now, in an exclusive interview with the Daily Star and other publications, AJ and his partner Kai have opened up about how the injury impacted their training sessions days before the final.
Kai explained, “We rehearsed on Monday, we did the dance show. We got away with it. Obviously we still have to patch it up a bit and connect everything, there are a lot of elevators in there.
“But the other dances that were going to do we did them and we put the music on and AJ knows them.”

As the dancing duo looked back on their Strictly Come Dancing journey, the TV presenter couldn’t help but be moved as the show wraps up in just a few days.
Despite her setbacks, AJ confessed how much she enjoyed the whole Strictly experience after calling the TV show a “dream come true.”
She gushed, “I feel really emotional. There were so many highlights throughout the show, obviously our first dance with that jive, American Smooth, Argentine Tango.
“But really, I just got to the final now, and I know we’re not there yet, but everyone voted us here and you [Kai] just been so patient and so kind and so brilliant.

“And even now, when I limp around, he’s always very positive and says, ‘We’re going to put you on this floor.’
“I am so grateful for the whole experience,†she added.
The Blackburn beauty has been a die-hard fan of the show for several years and has confessed how to come and experience the show. the behind-the-scenes magic of the show was life-changing.
And although she’s a complete ballroom dance novice, the star has put her all in the dance competition and smashed us all the way to the bottom three.
She added, “I think we can all sit at home and watch something on a Saturday night and go, ‘I’d love to be there, I’d love to be on that dance floor’ and say it for years and years and years like I really have,
And then when you get there and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, this is really happening.’ When dreams come true, it’s amazing but it’s also very moving.
“You can’t believe this is happening on your own and I feel like the whole experience really was a dream.”
