A Lamborghini Countach has been spotted inside a 174ft yacht in Florida

Media steps out of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, a 1987 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 Quattrovalvole. Sounds fair enough, it’s a nice car, if a bit out of place. But what really attracts a lot of attention is where it is parked.

Seen aboard the aft deck of a yacht called Mizu, the classic car is parked under a basketball net as you board the boat. American model, as you can see from its bumpers, it is only slightly less impressive than the personal watercraft it sits on.

According to Y.co, Mizu is a 53-meter-long (174-foot) yacht that requires a crew of nine to sail. Delivered by Oceanfast in 2004 and renamed by her current owner in 2011, the name is Japanese for water, which is a bit on the nose, frankly.

The name may explain why the yacht has “Asian-inspired interiors” which were designed by Sam Sorgiovanni. She underwent a complete refit in 2016 which means everything on board is up to date and there is a private deck for owners, as well as other expansive decks to entertain guests which include a 14-person jacuzzi, bars, various tanning salons, and, of course, a basketball net.

Apparently “built for adventure”, it has a top speed of 28 knots (32 mph/52 km/h) and a range of 4,500 nautical miles (5,178 miles/8,334 km). It’s impressive, but I imagine it won’t impress readers of this article as much as the Lamborghini.

The Countach LP5000 QV was introduced in 1985 with an evolved 5.2 liter version of Lamborghini’s V12 engine which featured, as the name suggests, four valves per cylinder. Fuel injected versions of the car were rated at 414 PS (309 kW/420 PS) and only 66 were built (a further 544 were made for Europe with carburettors which produced 449 PS/335 kW/455 PS ).

Whether a yacht, which is presumably moored in a saltwater marina, is the best place for a classic vehicle is up for debate in the TikTok comments below. Either way, it’s a deeply Floridian movement.
