3 players we want to see dominate Chicago Bears training camp

Exactly a year ago, Chicago Bears fans were in a completely different boat. Going into the 2021 training camp, the team had as many questions as this year, but of a different kind.

Last year, there were questions like: Will head coach Matt Nagy actually ride with Andy Dalton as his starting quarterback? Can Akiem Hicks, Robert Quinn and Eddie Goldman stay healthy? Will Allen Robinson and the Bears be able to mend their relationship?

With these issues now in the rear view, new concerns include the topics of youth and inexperience. Many aging veterans are gone, making way for a fluid roster that will take shape over the course of a few offseasons.

With so many young guys and a completely fresh coaching staff, training camp will be very different from what it was a year ago. The players we look forward to have changed, while some indeed remain the same.

On a rebuilding roster, there are a few fans of Chicago Bears players who want to see themselves stand out from the crowd.

Fans attend camp to see all their favorite players. Certainly people will be there to watch guys like Darnell Mooney, David Montgomery and Roquan Smith. There’s no doubt that these three will have a crowd of people cheering their names.

But, the Bears have some new faces this year that fans will want to see practice. Going even further, there are some young guns that fans are absolutely hoping to see dominate in training camp.

A team like the Bears isn’t going to compete in the near future (2022, at least) but laying the groundwork for success in 2023 is important. The Bears could have significant cornerstones on their current roster, if they succeed and grow quickly in their early years.

During this year’s training camp, three players stood out as guys we want to see perform at a high level. If they dominate, then hope will reach a new level among Chicago fans.
